Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori holds meeting with Raila days after aborted expulsion

Dori escaped by a whisker after tendering an apology to the party leadership – Raila confirmed the leaders discussed issues of national interest with a particular emphasis on the coastal region.
Barely a month after escaping expulsion from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori paid party leader Raila Odinga a courtesy call on Thursday, March 14.
Dori who was put on the chopping board for disciplinary action was accompanied by Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho and his Kilifi counterpart Amason Kingi to Capitol Hill office in Nairobi.
The leader held a meeting at Capitol Hill office. A statement from Raila confirmed the leaders discussed issues of national interest with a particular emphasis on the coastal region.
In particular, Kingi faulted the decision of the party National Governing Council to throw out Malindi lawmaker Aisha Jumwa who has emerged as the face of anti-Raila in
Jumwa and Dori were accused of publicly declaring support for the Jubilee presumed presidential candidate, Ruto, against the party constitution. Dori tendered an apology and his case will be heard sometimes in April 2019.
