DCI George Kinoti and DPP Noordin Haji have stated that they require help from engineers and auditors in the investigation of the Arror and Kimwarer dam scandal.

DPP Haji, when appearing before the Senate Justice and Legal Affairs committee, mentioned that the extra hand was required as the cases were complex.

“The cases are becoming complex. In the case of dams and the Sh3.2 billion Ruaraka land scandal, we have foreign jurisdiction to deal with.

“We will need to get civil engineers, forensic auditors, the Central Bank of Kenya, the Financial Reporting Centre, the Asset Recovery Authority (ARA), the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission and the Kenya Revenue Authority to ensure that we have a watertight case to put before the courts,” remarked Haji.

The DPP further explained that the probe into the multi-billion saga had been expanded to cover other water projects throughout the country.
