Uhuru-Raila Deal That Will Make Ruto Migrate to Uganda

Siaya Senator and senior counsel James Aggrey Orengo has laid open the contentious deal that exists between Raila Odinga and President Kenyatta.

The Senator has revealed that ODM Party plans to take over the reins of power with help from President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Orengo was speaking to KTN‘s Tony Gachoka during an interview where he made the revelations.

He talked of a possible alliance between ODM Party leader Raila Odinga and President Kenyatta.

“ODM is going for political power and when we are holding these meetings our eyes are set on 2022.

“The contestation for power is going to come from a formation with ODM in it and a formation of Jubilee where Uhuru is playing a role,” Orengo stated.

The legislator was however noncommittal on whether the party would field Odinga for the country’s top seat.

“If Raila was to put his campaign out there and at the same time be involved as an envoy and the handshake, all that will not be good for his politics. He is very focused,” Orengo explained.

The senator also disclosed that after a four-hour meeting with President Kenyatta, he believed the Head of State’s graft purge.

“I spent four hours with Uhuru – me and him alone- and I was convinced that he means what he says about the fight against corruption,” affirmed Orengo.

Responding to allegations that the graft war and handshake were being used to split the Jubilee Party, the lawmaker noted that he was not a member of the ruling party and was therefore cautious not to discuss its issues.
