The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has received a petition seeking the removal of Chief Justice David Maraga from office over gross misconduct.

The request by Yussuf Ibrahim Dimbil, a concerned Kenyan comes barely a week after a similar one was lodged against four judges of the apex court.

Yussuf Ibrahim Dimbil says the CJ is unfit to hold office because he has made a number of mistakes.

He believes by attending political rallies the CJ violated public trust bestowed on him.
