The handshake is to pave way for Raila to takeover Uhuru in 2022, claims Orengo

More theories on the March 9th handshake between President Kenyatta and AU Envoy Raila Odinga are emerging by the day with more leaders giving different opinions.

Siaya County Senator James Orengo has now weighed his sentiments on the handshake.According to Senator Orengo who also happens to be ODM leader’s lawyer and close ally has claimed that the handshakes is indeed a path for Raila to clinch power through President Kenyatta whose term comes to an end in 2022.

 While speaking in an interview Senator Orengo revealed that the two leaders have been working together and are looking forwrad to continue with the same spirit come 2022.

Their partnership however means that the Deputy President who is also eyeing for the top seat is just about to have one of those difficult times as the combination of Raila and Uhuru is stronger as the two tribes are likely to come together and support Raila over Ruto.

In his statement he said, “ODM as a party will be on the ballot box in one shape or another, I can tell you that. But what I can tell you for purposes of Raila is that he is involved in an exercise.” 

In the recent past days Raila and Ruto have been having verbal fights as they exchange harsh conversations with both accusing each other of different issues.

It all started when Deputy President William Ruto’s name was dragged into the loss of 21 billion dam scandal with ODM leaders claiming that the Pope rejected Ruto’s car gift as it had been bought using corruption money.

 The ODM has also been pushing for a referendum something that the Deputy President has been fight not to happen.However according to reports the call for referendum is likely to weaken DP Ruto;s powers.
