Liverpool Star Reveals Clubs They Wish To Avoid in The Champions League Draw

CL quarters: Milner reveals three clubs Liverpool want to avoid

Liverpool midfielder James Milner has revealed teams that he wants his club to avoid in the Premier League for the quarterfinals of the Champions League.

The Reds advanced to the last 8 following a 3-1 win over Bayern Munich on Wednesday night. Sadio Mane netted a brace with Virgil van Dijk scoring the third for Liverpool. Munich consolation goal came from Joel Matip as the defender put the ball into his own net. Milner says he wants to avoid meeting Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham in the final eight.

Speaking to BT Sport Milner said, “It is good for English football. That’s what you want. I don’t think we want to play each other in the next round but we’ll see who we get.”

“We have good feelings from last year so hopefully we can carry that on and go as far as we can.”

“It says a lot about the squad we have got. To lose the captain(Jordan Henderson) that early was difficult but we dealt with it well. Fabinho came on and did well then we scored. It was a good result. We didn’t play our best but it is about defending well and getting three points.”

“This guy [Van Dijk] got another goal. To be honest, he should get more given his height!”
