Waititu’s appeal to his Kiambu counterparts

Governor Ferdinard Waititu is now calling upon Kiambu leaders to come together and work on developing the county of Kiambu.

He was speaking during the launch of the proposed upgrade of the two-kilometre Kihunguro-Full Gospel access road to bitumen standard.

Additionally Waititu said that leaders in the county were elected by the same electorate and thus owe collective service delivery to the mwananchi.

He further noted that he has been working on bringing together Kiambu leaders by working on the most urgent needs in the county despite some of them not being devolved functions.

The county boss has also been lobbying for the commencement of projects in his county by the national government, with the most recent being the network of roads set to be constructed by the Kenya National Highways Authority (Kenha).

Among the roads set to be constructed include James Gichuru-Rironi road which will cost Sh16 billion, the Sh 17 billion Western Bypass set to pass through Wangige, Ndenderu and Ruaka and the Sh4 billion Ruiru-Githunguri-Uplands road.

Waititu is also in the process of launching at least 11 key projects spread out in the entire county in the next three days.
