More badnews as the Boeing 737 MAX accident investigations continues

Reports have emerged that the cause for the Boeing 737 MAX accident may take longer than expected.

Reports emerge that the engineers from Boeing company, now wants to send the black boxes abroad for analysis.

In a statement, “There is no capacity here so the black box will be sent elsewhere for analysis. The investigation team will decide where.”

Adding to the pressure on Boeing, Norwegian Air said it would seek recompense for lost revenue and extra costs after grounding its 737 MAX aircraft.

“We expect Boeing to take this bill,” Norwegian said in an emailed statement to Reuters.

Besides the expected long wait to establish the cause of the accident, the affected families may also have nothing to bury after it emerged that the DNA tests could take several months since the bodies were completely dismembered.

Kenya was the worst hit having recorded 32 deaths with Canada following closely at 18. The aircraft carried people from 33 nationalities.

Transport minister James Macharia said the country will facilitate travel and accommodation for those who may have lost their loved ones to Addis Ababa.
