Joy in Kakamega as mother gives birth to quintuplets

Everyone becomes happy when a child is born.

For 28-year-old Evelyn Namukhula ,it is not one child but five.

A 28-year-old woman has given birth to five babies at Kakamega General Hospital.

The Sisokhe village resident in Kakamega, delivered three girls and two boys through a Caesarean Section on Wednesday.

Namukhula and her husband Herbert Wawire who had four other children, have a total of nine children now.

Last year, a father of twins fainted at Narok County Referral hospital after his wife delivered triplets.

Francis Gitau, who was already struggling to keep up with harsh economic times,reportedly lost consciousness when his 30-year-old wife, Jacinta Mwihaki, shared the news.

Jacinta Akinyi was seven months pregnant at the time of the delivery.

In 2017, a 30-year-old woman in Oyugis, Homabay County also gave birth to quintuplets.

Unfortunately, two of the children passed away due to some complications during child birth.
