French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Kenya on Wednesday afternoon for a historic visit, as this is the first-ever to the country by a President of France.
President Uhuru Kenyatta received Mr Macron at State House in Nairobi, where he inspected a guard of honor ahead of their talks.
Via Twitter, President Kenyatta said, “I am delighted to host my friend … in his historic visit to Kenya. Kenya and France enjoy a cordial relationship that has helped spur growth in different areas for the benefit of our people.”
Uhuru Kenyatta later again took to twitter to reveal it was great to hold talks with H.E president Emanuel Macron at State House with pictures to demonstrate.
Netizens were quick to judge deputy president William Ruto’s position in the picture which they thought was awkward and a sign that he has been sidelined by Uhuru
Uhuru further revealed that their talks reflected on the strong relations between Kenya and France, as we pursue to bolster the existing ties between our two nations and people.
