Emotional message to flight ET302 victim from daughter

Antony Ngare of United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) died in the tragic Ethiopian Airline crash but his 8 year old daughter had the sweetest message for him on his birthday.

Ngare’s daughter had handwritten his dad a sweet birthday message early in February which happened to be one of the last posts he put on his facebook feeds.

In the message seen on his wall read, “I was handed this letter by my eight year old daughter this morning. I read it and I almost let out a tear.”

Anthony Ngare Wanjohi, a former Journalist with the Standard was among those who perished in the tragic accident.


The ill-fated plane had 149 passengers and eight crew members on board, including 32 Kenyans.

The ET302 flight crashed on Sunday morning just six minutes after take off some 60km southeast of Bole International Airport while heading to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
