Reason Why United May Release Sanchez on Loan

Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez is the only player on the spot at the moment who is not in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s plan and chances are that he might leave Old Trafford on loan at the end of this season.

Manchester United caretaker boss Solskjaer, certain to land the job permanently, believes the Chilean’s future lies elsewhere.

But United already know they will struggle to sell a player on Sanchez’s massive wages – up to £25million a year.

Instead, the Old Trafford outfit are preparing to make Sanchez — who has been a disaster since joining from Arsenal — available on a loan deal in the hope of tempting clubs.

Sanchez arrived on a four-and-half-year deal in January 2018 in a swap deal with Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

He has struggled throughout and Solskjaer will not fight to keep him in his squad.

Sanchez earns a basis wage of £391,000-a-week but that increases with bonuses of up to a potential £500,000-a-week.

The injured 30-year-old was spotted at the Nou Camp on Saturday watching his old club Barcelona in action as they beat Rayo Vallecano 3-1.

Sanchez was back in Catalonia to begin his recovery after sustaining a serious knee injury in the win over Southampton earlier this month.

The forward, 30, is facing eight weeks out with an injury that could end his season.
