The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) issued a gazette notice declaring their intention to dispose of an assortment of sex toys and pills impounded at the Eldoret International Airport.
Some of the impounded goods included: 6,000 tablets of the enhancement pill Vigrx Plus, 35 pieces of Viagra (50mg), nine pieces of Cialis 20mg, Magic Chocolate Vimax, pornographic materials, artificial male organs, vibrator and boxes of arousal cream.
“Notice is given that unless the under-mentioned goods are entered and removed from the custody of the Customs Warehouse Keeper, Eldoret and Nakuru will be treated as abandoned and will be disposed of by crushing on April 17, 2019,” KRA revealed.
Chief manager in charge of Rift Valley, Simon Luseno, disclosed that none of the goods had been claimed by any individual or company.
He went on to reveal that the array of sex pills and toys confiscated at the airport was in transit, with Nakuru indicated as the final destination.
Unclaimed motor vehicles also made up the list of the goods set to be destroyed by the taxman.
Mr Luseno also divulged the existence 69 vehicles held at police stations in the area with fake registration numbers.
The National Police Service (NPS) Act gives police powers to auction such vehicles but has to get consent and directions from a magistrate.
A Toyota Carina saloon car registered in Uganda was also part of the items gazetted to be destroyed in April.
However, the unidentified traders responsible for the sex toys as well as the vehicle were allowed to make a formal claim within thirty (30) days of the gazette notice to avoid total loss of the goods.
