Obado meets Raila for the first time since release from custody

Since his involvement with the brutal death of Rongo Student Sharon Otieno in September 2018, the Migori governor Okoth Obado has finally met his party leader Raila Odinga for the first time.

While taking to social media the one of Migori County communication team official Lisa Wema, “His Excellency Zachary Okoth Obado has this morning joined His Excellency the Right Honourable Raila Amollo Odinga and a host of other leaders from the Sugarcane growing areas, after the promising discussions between the former Prime Minister and the CS for Agriculture Mwangi Kiunjiri, on revetalisation of the sugarcane sector, where they agreed to have a retreat between the leadership from ministry and the leadership Sugarcane growing areas in Kisumu at the Grand Royal Swiss Hotel, to concertise the next course of action in sector.” 

Governor Obado together with his two assistants were accused of murdering Sharon Otieno whose body was foung in Kodera Forest in Homa Bay County.

He was later released on bail by Justice Jessie Lessit after spoending nights in police custody as the investigations continued.
