Oktay banking on Petro clash after Zamalek humbling

Gor Mahia head coach Hassan Oktay  is optimistic on the clash against Petro de Luanda.

Following their 4-0 trouncing at the hands of Egyptian outfit El Zamalek, Gor Mahia head coach Hassan Oktay admitted that his side were second best .

Gor Mahia went down courtesy of goals from defender Mahmoud Alaa who is the joint top scorer in the Egyptian Premier League, Ibrahim Obama, Ferjani Sassi, and Omar El Said. The defeat means that Gor Mahia have lost all their away games in the CAF Confederations Cup this season, scoring only one goal in the process.

Speaking in a press conference after the defeat to Zamalek, Oktay was hopeful his side can win against Petro de Luanda, “Unfortunately we didn’t play well but Zamalek deserved to win the three points. They played very well. It was a fair game. We have one game to play in Nairobi and hopefully we win there at home.”

K’Ogalo take on Angolan side Petro de Luanda on Sunday 17th March in the final group stage tie and a win for them could seal progression to the knockout phases of the tournament.
