Most people have described the Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka Presidential bid as a failed ambition.
This is after Ukambani Governors drew a clear line from his Watermelon side, and bracing up for a new era in Ukambani politics.
But Kalonzo is not lonely and desperate.
Former Kitui Senator David Musila has backed Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s 2022 presidential bid.
Musila urged Kamba leaders alongside locals to unite and rally behind Kalonzo.
Speaking at Kauwi Primary School in Kitui West on Sunday, the politician said the Ukambani political kingpin is the best-suited candidate to take up the country’s leadership from President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Musila who had fallen-out with Kalonzo in the run-up to the 2017 general election said it is time for a Kamba to take up the country’s top leadership.
The former senator added that Kalonzo is experienced and would push the country’s agenda if he succeeds President Kenyatta in 2022.
“We must embrace the unity of purpose for those who care about the Kamba community and just let Kalonzo Musyoka be our spokesperson and presidential candidate in 2022,” Musila said.
Musila asked Kamba politicians not to let their personal interests cause disunity.
He asked Kalonzo to urgently bring the Kamba community together ahead of the 2022 polls.
Musila’s move to endorse Kalonzo’s Presidency is a big boost to the former Vice President.
