Fast Foward to 2019, the union no longer looks like will even survive 2019 leave alone going beyond 2022.

Kalenjin Leaders have been opposed to President Kenyatta’s latest fight on corruption with many viewing it as a mechanism by Uhuru to punish Ruto and his Loyalists.

For the first time, Ruto and his allies are no longer pretending that the political truce between Uhuru and ODM leader Raila Odinga is significant.

According to Senator Kipchumba Murkomen, the handshake is the worst Political fraud ever witnessed in this country as it is “being used as a scheme to fight one individual, together with the charade called the fight against corruption. It’s a sham,”

Meanwhile, According to Kimani Ngunjiri, a strong defender of President Kenyatta, it’s no longer a secret that Ruto is fighting Uhuru.

“The people undermining the DCI, who is an appointee of the President, the people who are attacking the DPP are allies of the Deputy President … if you ask me, the Deputy President is actually fighting the President. There is no other way you can explain it,” he said at the weekend.

RUTO PRESENTS HIS REBELIOUS SIDE TO PRESIDENT KENYATTA

Is Deputy President William Ruto out to make his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta look useless and weak?

The DP has lately been opposed to a number of President Kenyatta’s directives including Uhuru’s latest resolve to fight and ultimately end corruption.

The DP’s critics have wondered why he is so against the fight against corruption that is being spearheaded by his boss and Party leader.

A defiant William Ruto has however stood his ground and has insisted that the ongoing wars on corruption are all political witch-hunt that will yield no meaningful fruits for Kenyans.

Ruto is now seen as a rebel, a rebellion that was started by his close allies like MP Oscar Sudi and Senator Kipcumba Murkomen.

The DP, like a man seemingly taking over from his foot-soldiers has now opened a war of words with various government agencies.

The most affected agencies in the DP’s onslaught are the Investigative agencies led by the DCI.

Ruto has insisted that Investigative agencies do not do their jobs rights and as such ened up feeding Kenyans with lies and propaganda.

It all started with the Dams Saga where Ruto said that only Sh7 billion on the dams is in question, and every shilling guaranteed, while investigators say the amount is Sh21 billion.

“As we move forward as a nation, selective prosecution targeting predetermined individuals and projects, and steamrolled by a narrative of convenient lies and falsehood and propaganda, is not a fight against corruption,” Ruto said on Saturday at the Coast.

“It’s impunity, it’s politics, and it’s headed in the wrong direction.”

This was the first major pointer that the gloves were off in Jubilee, with the President and his deputy headed for an open clash.

He said the ruling party is fully behind the Handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga but warned that the same should not be used to stagnate and kill the Jubilee manifesto.

Speaking at Mary Leakey Girls High School in Kabete during a funds drive for the construction of a perimeter wall, the Ruto said the Handshake had brought peace and harmony among Kenyans.

“The Handshake ended demonstrations, hatred and division among Kenyans. However, the same should not be an avenue of killing our party’s manifesto,” he said.
