Incredible Liverpool Virgil Van Dijk Stat STUNS Fans – ‘That Is Unbelievable’

The Dutchman is already adored on the Anfield terraces after his impressive performances so far this season.

Van Dijk is now the heavy favourite to be crowned PFA Player of the Year this term and is helping Liverpool battle for the Premier League title.

And after another classy outing against Burnley on Sunday, a 4-2 win for the Reds, a statistic has revealed just how well the £75m man is playing at present.

According to Squawka, Van Dijk has not lost an aerial duel at Anfield since January. The stat claims the former Southampton man has won 18 heading battles in a row while playing at home.

Since January, Liverpool have faced Sean Dyche’s men, Watford, Bournemouth and Crystal Palace at Anfield.

And fans have made it clear just how highly they rate Van Dijk and his recent exploits.

“The guy is a beast,” one tweeted.

“That’s actually unbelievable,” one said.

“Best CB in the world,” another wrote.

“Real life Gladiator,” added a fourth.

Van Dijk captained Liverpool during yesterday’s win.
But the defender relishes the pressure of the armband and playing at a big club in big games.

“There’s always pressure at a big club,” he told UEFA.

“I’d rather play with pressure than without.

“I’m very proud to play for all these fans, for the manager, with these fantastic players and to wear the shirt every game.

“To play with pressure is always a good thing. I like to play with pressure.
