Gor Captain Haron Shakava Subjected to a Drug Test in Egypt after Zamalek Humiliation

Gor Mahia Captain Haron Shakava was the subject of a random drug test in Egypt after being their humiliation in the CAF Confederations Cup against hosts Zamalek.

Fifa and Caf guidelines allow match officials to randomly pick any player for the tests, by having them submit urine samples.

Shakava could not prevent his team from shipping in four unanswered goals to a hugely talented Egyptian side who had more than 10 players who featured at the 2018 world Cup.

“They had nine players who featured in the last World Cup finals. They have the experience which we don’t have and they deserved it,” Gor coach Hassan Oktay told local media.

Despite the huge loss, and sitting bottom of Group D, Gor will qualify for the quarter finals of the competitions for the first time ever if they beat Angolan side Petro Atletico on Sunday.
