Goal drought AFC leopards, brings in international signing

AFC Leopards has stepped up its bid to ensure they maintain their top flight status by signing Kenya International defender David Ochieng’ on a short term deal, the club has revealed.

AFC Leopards announced it is delighted to announce the signing of Kenyan international David ‘Cheche’ Ochieng on a short term contract to help bring stability to a Leopards defence that has been quite leaky this term, conceding 22 goals in 16 matches.

Afc Leopards have resulted to buying players as a way of fixing the mess that is at that club. Never works and Cheche’s case is no different.— Amoh (@Ngaithe_) March 11, 2019

Ochieng has been unattached since parting ways with Swedish second tier outfit IF Brommapojkarna last year, although he has been spotted twice training with the national team to keep fit.

The 27-year old had interests from Libya, Egypt and Morocco, and his decision to return to the local league is to work on his fitness as he eyes a return to Harambee Stars coach Sebastien Migne’s plans for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nation (Afcon).

The 26-year-old has formerly played for Nairobi Stima, Tusker and AFC Leopards before joining Saudi Arabian outfit Al Tawoon in 2014.

Goal drought, well a defender might not solve that, but is he a good signing?
