The Fight against Corruption continues to put President Kenyatta in the bad books of a few individuals and political leaders who feel that the war is not a genuine course and that it is only meant to frustrate Deputy President William Ruto with many of the casualties apparently being his point-men.

Led by MPs from the Rift-Valley region like Oscar Sudi, a number of leaders feel that President Kenyatta is out to scuffle DP Ruto’s 2022 Presidential bid by painting him and his people as being corrupt.

President Kenyatta has on the other hand got much needed backing from a number of leaders from different sides of the divide including those from the opposition.

The latest to support Uhuru’s course is Siaya Senator James Orengo who has asked President Kenyatta to remain firm on the war on corruption.

He has Uhuru to continue pushing for the arrest of corrupt individuals despite noise from some politicians saying their community is being targeted.

“The government record of those who have been arrested over corruption allegations in President Kenyatta’s regime in my possession shows 43 Kikuyus, 18 Luos, 11 Luhyas, and 6 Kalenjins,” Orengo said.

Orengo said if any community should be complaining, it should be the Kikuyus.
