Solskjaer Describes Predicting Arsenal Impossible

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has described predicting Sunday’s match verses Arsenal as an impossible mission.

The Norwegian admitted it has been a difficult challenge to pre-analyse his opponents given the different play style they have used in the season under Unai Emery.

“One, you’ve got to consider their approach, which system do you think they will play, which is impossible to predict because they change a lot. But then you need to look at who is fit and how we want to approach the game as well. It might be a different kind of systems or is it a counter-attacking game you want – it’s all sorts. But now, of course, the fitness issue plays in more than ever because we’ve got players coming back, players who put a proper shift in. ” he explained.

He went forth to describe the Manchester United-Arsenal match on Sunday as ‘fantastic’ one.

It is a game no side will want to lose given the implications it has four the top four race. The Red Devils got their 9th win away when they downed PSG in the Champions League round of 16-second leg while Arsenal enjoy a good run at home where they are on an eight-match winning streak.

“No problem whatsoever. We have gone through to the quarter-finals, which is what we sometimes expect of Man United. But it was the way it happened and the celebrations at the end, it just happens when you win a game like we did. But then again, no problem – we’ve got Arsenal, a fantastic game to get yourself ready again. It’s the same decisions you always have when you go into a game.” Solskjaer told Sky Sports.

Arsenal were beaten 3-1 in the FA Cup fourth round by Man United and the Sunday clash offer them the best opportunity to revenge.
