Manchester United’s interim manager, Ole on the way to emulating his former boss

The turn around that Ole has brought to United will remain in the books of history, he’s following the foot steps of his former boss Alex Ferguson.

It has already been the dream start for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer since becoming Manchester United caretaker manager in December of last year.

The feel good factor is back at the club, but most of all so is the entertaining and incredible football which has long been etched into the very fabric of the club.

Solskjaer further confirmed his legendary status with the miraculous victory against Paris Saint-Germain in midweek, but now his attentions must return to domestic duties, and earning automatic qualification for next season’s Champions League.

Indeed, if United were to lift the top European club trophy this year then they would automatically secure a place in the group stages of next year’s competiton.

However all eyes will be on Arsenal this weekend as United concentrate on the Premier League and look to strengthen their grip on fourth-place just weeks after the mere suggestion of it felt improbable.

United are currently on the longest unbeaten run in the Premier League after ten wins and two draws since Solskjaer took over before Christmas last year. Old Trafford has become a fortress again during that run, but more impressive have been their performances away from home.

Not only have they beaten Arsenal, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain away in cup competitions, but they have also won all six of their Premier League away games.

Another victory at the Emirates this weekend would see United win seven straight league away games for the first time since they achieved the milestone between April and August 1993 under the guidance of Sir Alex Ferguson.
