Manchester United noticeable features ahead of their clash with Arsenal at Emirates

Manchester United hope to keep their good run this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when they visit Emirates side Arsenal in a EPL clashthis weekend after a major comeback in France against PSG.

Manchester United made history in midweek – but it’s back to business as they prepare for Sunday’s huge Premier League game at Arsenal.

The Red Devils are just a point ahead of the Gunners in the race for fourth spot and need to keep their form going at the Emirates.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks set to be boosted by a let-up in his injury crisis with a number of stars pictured training on Friday as they prepare to return to the fold.

It was all smiles at Carrington with United still on a massive high after their dramatic late success in Paris on Wednesday.

Here’s five things we spotted from training as Solskjaer’s men were put through their paces before Sunday’s showdown in North London.

Struggling stars finding confidence

Romelu Lukaku and Fred have come in for plenty of criticism this season.

The big-money signing have flattered to deceive at times this season and been under serious pressure at Old Trafford.

But they have recently turned things around, with Lukaku bagging six goals in his last three games and Fred enjoying the best night of his United career so far in Paris on Wednesday.

It is unclear whether Fred will be rewarded by keeping his starting spot at Arsenal on Sunday considering that Pogba who was absent in the PSG will be playing, but the Brazilian and his Belgian team-mate both appear to be visibly more relaxed.

They were in good spirits at training on Friday as they prepare for Sunday’s game and have clearly given their confidence a major boost.

Youngsters feeling the love

Manchester United’s next generation of stars were in the thick of the action in Paris on Wednesday night.

Tahith Chong and Mason Greenwood both came off the bench late on – just in time for Marcus Rashford’s dramatic late penalty whilst Angel Gomes and James Garner were also on the bench.

A number of returning players could force them off the bench for Sunday’s trip to the Emirates, but the teenage stars have stepped up to provide valuable support to the first team the last couple of weeks.

They had an unforgettable experience on Wednesday night and it seem they’re feeling the love from some of their superstar team-mates.

The future looks bright at Old Trafford and all four players appear set to stay involved with the first team after showing they belong.

Herrera and Martial readiness are back and ready to take part in the next match

Anthony Martial and Ander Herrera have arguably been Manchester United’s two biggest absences in recent weeks and although the club has maintained a good run even with their absence, the two are an integral part of the squad and their contribution is one that cannot be wished away.

Flying Frenchman Martial had hit top form just before being forced off in the first leg of their Champions League first leg against Paris Saint-Germain.

Herrera, meanwhile, has emerged as a crucial figure in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s fast-paced style of play as a vital part of their midfield transition.

Solskjaer’s side have made do without the stars recently- but they were both spotted taking part in training on Friday as they are linked with a return to the side.

Martial is understood to be available for the game at the Emirates after his groin strain, and Herrera is in contention with a late call expected to be made on his fitness after a hamstring injury.

Nemanja Matic gives hope of returning to form

Nemanja Matic is a doubt for Sunday’s game at the Emirates but he has shown positive signs of a possible return to form

The Serbian midfielder suffered an injury in the build-up to United’s recent clash with Liverpool at Old Trafford and hasn’t featured since.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed on Thursday that they’re hopeful of having Matic back for their massive clash with Arsenal.

The former Chelsea man took part in training and was snapped giving a thumbs up could that be a sign he’s good to go at the weekend?

Pogba’s ready for comeback after missing in the UEFA clash against PSG

Paul Pogba is used to being in the limelight – but he had to watch from afar as Manchester United dramatically beat Paris Saint-Germain in midweek.

The midfield maestro was suspended after his late red card in the first leg but will now return from suspension on Sunday.

Pogba missed a last-gasp penalty against Southampton last week and has had to wait patiently as he looks to make amends.

The stage is set for a huge game at the Emirates on Sunday – and Pogba looked like he’s itching to get back in action as he prepared for the game.
