National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbadi clashed with Senate Majority Leader Kipchumba Murkomen on live TV.

Trouble began when Mbadi questioned Murkomen’s professional credentials, arguing that he doesn’t have the ability to save Malindi lawmaker Aisha Jumwa who was recently expelled from the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party.

Mbadi faulted the embattled lawmaker for picking Murkomen as her lawyer as she seeks to challenge her expulsion, noting that the senator has never won any case.

The Suba South Member of Parliament urged Murkomen to stop lying to Jumwa that he will help her avoid the axe, adding that he should direct her to a better lawyer.

“Murkomen must stop misleading Jumwa. Let him tell her the truth that he doesn’t have a history of winning cases and has actually never won any. He should advise her to get better representation,” said Mbadi.

The two were speaking during an interview on Citizen TV on Tuesday night.

In a quick rejoinder, Murkomen termed the comments childish and not worth his time.

He expressed confidence in himself, predicting better days ahead for Jumwa who was expelled over her closeness and open endorsements of Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid.

“I will not be dragged into such childish discussions. I am just a conveyor belt in trying to deliver justice and I believe that Jumwa will have the final laugh. She will overcome this and continue serving the nation,” said the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator.

Mbadi who is the ODM national chair maintained that the case will not go anywhere, adding that the party will finally have its way.
