Former Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has unexpectedly praised Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after his win over PSG.

United lost 2-0 to PSG at home and a quarterfinals slot in the UEFA Champions Leauge looked close to impossible. Solskajer’s men put in an impressive performance away from home as they won 1-3 with a last-gasp penalty that was awarded after Presnel Kimpembe handled the ball, Marcus Rashford held his nerve to send United through to the next round.

Mourinho lauded Solskjaer for instilling ‘self-belief’ in Man United stars, “If the responsibility in the bad days is for the manager, then the responsibility of the good days are also for the manager. The Ajax and Man United results are phenomenal results. Credit to them. For United, there’s the mental side and self-belief.”
