Lionel Messi has been recalled to the Argentina national team, while Sergio Aguero, Gonzalo Higuaín and Mauro Icardi get overlooked.
The squad announcement was made on social media by the Argentina Football Association today, confirming the returing of Lionel Messi to La Albiceleste (The White and Sky-Blue) since the 2018 World Cup.
Scaloni has not selected Aguero or Higuain since he replaced former coach Jorge Sampaoli after the World Cup.
Aguero tops the Premier League scoring charts with 18 goals in 25 league appearances.
Higuain scored his third league goal in his fifth league start for Chelsea in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Fulham.
The South Americans will play two international friendly against Venezuella at home (23 March) and Morocco away (26 March).
