Business as usual as JKIA resumes normal operations

Jomo Kenyatta International Airport has today resumed normal operations after the strike by KAWU workers that took almost two days.

The Kenya Airport Authority has confirmed that they have successfully restored the operations.

KAA also gave their sincere appreciation to all passengers, other airport users and the general public for their patience, cooperation & understanding following the disruptions experienced yesterday.

The Strike by KAWU workers started on Wednesday midnight causing disruption of flights.

The Transport CS James Macharia termed the strike as illegal and ordered the workers to get to business saying that action will be taken to the workers who caused the unfortunate chaos and disruption.

Following the resuming of normal operations, KAA has appreciated the support accorded to them by the Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing & Urban development and Public works, various security agencies, airlines and all other stakeholders in helping to restore normal operations at JKIA.
