How do you say Goodbye in German?

Joachim Low says that Jerome Boateng, Mats Hummels and Thomas Mueller will no longer be called up by the German National Team.

Bayern Munich are disappointed with Germany manager Joachim Löw, who has decided to tell Thomas Müller, Mats Hummels and Jerome Boateng they are no longer part of his international plans, just a week before our Champions League Last 16 second-leg.

Löw informed the experienced World Cup winning trio, all of whom play for Bayern, privately – but there was also an announcement made officially from the national team’s website.

This report below by Bullinews will explain in slightly more detail:

Muller is fuming and even took to social media to publicise his rage.

Interestingly, the experienced forward is actually suspended for the game on March 13th with Liverpool, while Jerome Boateng isn’t a first-choice starter anymore either.

Niklas Sule plays instead of him, usually alongside Hummels, who in fairness, enjoyed a terrific first-leg.

Unless we’re taking it all the way to penalties, Liverpool have to score in Germany to give ourselves a chance of progressing to the quarters after the Anfield 0-0.

The draw has really opened up, with PSG and Real Madrid both exiting this week, so if we can get the win – we’ll be considered one of the tournament favourites.

Exciting times.
