A number of viewers who followed the discussion between Senator Murkomen and Mr Mbadi observed that the Senator had taken a hard stance against the ongoing fight against corruption while Mbadi was a big proponent for the crackdown.

The apparent support for the President by Mbadi and perceived opposition to the President by Murkomen continued to play out as they discussed specific cases that are under invetsigation.

“I want to tell the president that he has many supporters. He should not despair in the war against graft,” Mbadi stated.

The Senator took issue with DCI following President Uhuru Kenyatta’s declaration for corruption cases to be reported to the investigators instead of politicians throwing jabs during funerals and weddings. He stated: “The DCI is being used to selectively malign names of individuals, to selectively ‘bastardise’ projects that are in certain regions…My position on this will not change.”
