Mombasa Unveils strategic plan to remain among top performing counties

As part of the strategies to remain among top performing counties., Mombasa County has aligned its development plans i.e Mombasa vision 2035, County Integrated Development Plan 2018-2022 among others complimenting the National Governments development agenda including “The big 4”.

Mombasa County through the finance department today hosted a delegation from the National Treasury, Civil Society & other government agencies in the dissemination of the 3rd Medium Term Plan .

As outlined in the country’s long term development blue print , vision 2030 aims to transform Kenya into an industrialized middle income country offering a high quality of life to all our citizens. The vision is being implemented through successive five year medium term plans.

The CECM for the finance department Maryam Mbaruk gave a presentation of a comprehensive overview of the C.I.D.P 2018-2022 & it’s linkages to the National Governments development agenda which was greatly embraced by participants in the meeting.

The county has also been active in taking up development projects such as boosting trade by creating more trading points and renovating the existing once.

In terms of Infrastructure, the county has  made demands to get more allocations in order for them  to  facilitate more road projects.

The county officials have also been vocal in calling for the realization and implementation of their vision which is to transform the city into an economic hub.
