Clarice Alves reacted to another Marcelo-less Madrid match with some quotes from a professional life coach Marc Chernoff following our awful defeat against Ajax at the Santiago Bernabeu. The defender’s life partner has been vocal in her support of the left-back throughout his recent woes and this is no exception as Marcelo got benched by Santiago Solari in favour of Sergio Reguilon.

“When someone treats you like you’re just one of many options, help them narrow their choice by removing yourself from the equation. Sometimes you have to try not to care, no matter how much you do. Because sometimes you can mean almost nothing to someone who means so much to you,” wrote Clarice, obviously referring to Marcelo’s current situation at the club.

With this season being one of the worst Madrid have ever seen, it wouldn’t be surprising to see some major changes at the club with players like Marcelo and Isco choosing to continue their careers elsewhere.
