Ferdinand names 2 players he would like to see at Old Trafford in the summer

Manchester United will definitely have to upgrade their squad in the summer in order to compete for the Premier League title and, hopefully, the Champions League next season. Speaking of the possible signings, Rio Ferdinand has named two players he would like to see at Old Trafford in the upcoming transfer window.

Reminder that next seasons premier league is going to be so hard to win. City and Liverpool obviously quality and Chelsea are gonna spend huge this summer to make up for transfer ban. Not mention Spurs and a very improved United side. Could be a 5-horse race for the title.— Daniel (@UtdDaniell) March 5, 2019

Our former centre-back still wants Gareth Bale to put on a red shirt: “If I was someone looking for a player right now, I’d take Gareth Bale if the price was right. But it’s down to Gareth Bale. If he’s got the desire to leave now – he’s disgruntled and the fans don’t want him there –  a deal could be made somewhere else.”

However, taking into consideration Bale’s age (29) and fragility (he is yet to play a season without suffering an injury at Real Madrid), the Welshman’s arrival might be a bad deal. This season Tottenham’s former player has featured in 32 games, scored 10 goals and registered 4 assists. He is also rumoured to have a conflict with the manager and some of the players.

Ferdinand’s other player he’d like to step on the pitch of The Theatre of Dreams is Jadon Sancho. The 18-year-old is one of the most coveted players nowadays. Despite being just 18-year-old, the Englishman has been one of the key players in Lucien Favre’s team: “They’re different players, so I’d take both. Man United can afford them, so I’d take both.”
