On February last year a Twenty-five-year-old Dennis Kiplangat Bor, a nursing student at KMTC at Kapkatet campus, tried to kill himself by taking a pesticide.

He reportedly injected himself with adrenaline to accelerate his death. Adrenaline is a hormone secreted by the adrenal glands and increases rates of blood circulation.

“The doctors fought so hard to save the patient’s life and the good news is he is now in stable condition,” said a source at the hospital at that time.

A couple of years earlier, a male student, pursuing health records at the same institution, allegedly committed suicide after a relationship with a fellow student went sour.

The 25 year old student was found hanging behind the institution’s hostel.

It is alleged that he went on to take his life after he found ‘his girlfriend’ in another student’s room.

The incident occured barely two weeks after another student died after committing suicide.

The first student is alleged to have poisoned himself to death after being barred from sitting for his final examination due to a fee balance of Ksh 6,000.
