Journalist Behind Gory 14 Riverside Photos Relocated to London After Massive Uproar From Kenyans

Kimiko de Freydas-Tamura, the journalist behind the gory photos of the 14 Riverside attack that came under scrutiny for publishing them in the New York Times, has been relocated to London.

It is understood Kimiko had just been posted in East Africa the new bureau chief editor and chances are covering the DusitD2 terror strike, which left 21 people dead, was her first major assignment in the region.

The French-born journalist would now be based in London where she would be reporting on political and social issues in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The international media house seemed to have bowed to pressure and silently transfered Kimiko to address the concerns that had been raised by Kenyans and the regulator, Media Kenya Council (MCK), which was irked by the publication.

Although her relocation was not publicly declared by NYT, the new roles suggested the journalist would no longer be working from East Africa.
