Malindi Member of Parlianment verdict has come pout and the results are not as pleasing.

Ms Aisha Jumwa has been expelled from ODM Party for what hjas been termed as gross misconduct.

The MP’s hearing had been kept on hold after she was accused of campaigning for the Deputy President William Ruto.

According to Ms Jumwa her support for the DP was a show of solidality to the handshake between President Kenyatta and ODM Leader Raila Odinga.

Her expulsion has brought about reactions among Jubilee leaders who thought the act by her party was not fair.

According to Jubilee youth leader Isaac Motari, “It is sad news I have heard that the opposition party led by the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has expelled the female MP from the party because of her alliance with DP Ruto. She could have been given another chance because she extended the handshake to DP Ruto.”

In addition to his statement he said, “Jumwa’s expulsion shows that ODM doesn’t value democracy. This is not time to expel rebel MPs but, time for preaching peace in this country after the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) was born following the historic handshake between Raila and President Uhuru Kenyatta.”
