MPs trash Big four agenda, says there is no funds

A few days ago President Kenyatta mentioned that the state waas struggling due to lack of funds where he even urged public servants to bear with them.

Another blow has hit President Kenyatta after the Members of the august house for the first time trashed the big four agenda.

In a report to parliament, the Budget Committee expressed doubts that the money allocated to the Big four agenda was enough to hit Jubilee’s target.

According to the comittee chair Kimani Ichung’wa, “The concern is whether these expenditures provided are enough to achieve any meaningful outcome and whether the implementation are fully equipped/empowered for the task ahead.”

The big four which is meant to cost Ksh 460.2 billion priority was food security, affordable housing, manufacturing and universal healthcare.

But most projects have been hit by unprecedented scandals. with the latest been the Dam scandal.
