Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti is definitely at work as he promises to bring those killing innocent Kenyans to justice.
While speaking during the Kayole community dialogue, Kinoti noted that he had identified those behind kidnappings and gruesome murders.
In addition to his statement he said, “I want to be charged here. I stand before you and declare that anybody be it under my command or myself that will ever cover-up for someone who has killed an innocent person. May God himself curse me. No one will ever cover for a police officer who kills under my watch.”
He was accompanied by the Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji.
He noted how dissapointing it was that innocent souls were being killed and no justice was served.
He said even some police officers just end up killing the wrong people and that cannot be termed as extrajudicial killing but crime.
“There is no word like extrajudicial killings but we have unlawful killings by police officers. Some of us kill innocent people.”
