‘Mungu halali’ is a new song by Blinky Bill where he has featured Sarah, Wambui, Sage and Lisa. The song has inspired Kenyans and it since its release it has been loved by many people. Barely a week since it was published and it has 32K views already.
In n interview, he has explained how he cane to make the inspiring song. He says; ”It was a combination of many things. I grew up in a family of religious people but I question a lot of mainstream religion plus I am spiritual. I am glad people are resonating with it because the last few years in Kenya have been tough so this is just a song of encouragement to Kenyans just to let them know it’s going to be okay.
I worked with Mbithi, an ex just a band member and he came up with the scenes. You can see my mum and dad and the streets which was all because we wanted to make it real.
Worst moment in his life as an artiste is the frustration of starting something new .People don’t get it and they think I am mad. I have beaten myself up saying I am not good enough but I have come to understand new ideas take time.”
