Solskjaer responds to Neville ‘mutiny’ at Man Utd comments

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has responded to Gary Neville’s comments that there could be a “mutiny” at Manchester United if they don’t name the Norwegian as the permanent successor to Jose Mourinho.

The former United striker took over as interim boss in December after Mourinho was sacked following a number of poor displays by his side.

Since then, Solskjaer has led the Red Devils on an incredible run of results that has catapulted them into top four contention in the Premier League.

Their latest result came in the form of a 0-0 draw at home to arch-rivals Liverpool, who are top of the league after earning the point.

Solskjaer takes his United side to Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening and he was asked at the pre-match press conference what he made of Neville‘s comments.

“Well, the players will have a say in the way we play the rest of the season,” Solskjaer said.

“That we can manage to keep going, keep progressing, keep getting results, keep getting the crowd behind us, because we need that. We need to fight now towards the end of the season.

“It’s not like I’m walking round and [going], ‘Come on. Let’s just take that when it comes’. Gary is known for his opinions and comments, so that’s his job.”
