Nigerian music star cum politician Banky W has send an emotion message to his fans and supporters after he lost in just the concluded elections.
Banky W has released a video reacting to the outcome of the 2019 Senatorial election.
The singer who had hoped to represent his people at the House of Representatives lost to the All Progressive Candidate, Ibrahim Obanikoro, who obtained 64 votes ahead of the MDP candidate who got 53 votes.
Reacting to the loss, Banky W in a video he created, said, ”We were greatly outnumbered but we stood out…”
He further added that the election result will not deter the good works that have already commenced, “one community at a time,” the singer discloses.
Banky came out to be the voice of Eti-Osa and has been on the streets campaigning with his supporters, close friends and fans who worked tirelessly with him in these times when he needed them the most.
Taking to Twitter on Saturday, minutes after the results were announced, Banky wrote, “Soooo grateful for everyone who has believed in our movement to give us a chance.
“We have worked. We are top 3, and we earned every single vote we got. We will sustain the momentum and continue building this movement. We are not finished, we’re just getting started.”
Also on Instagram, he shared a video, stating that it is only the beginning.
