A renowned Tanzanian media personality has died while receiving treatment in South Africa hospital.
Ruge Mutahaba died on Tuesday night after battling with Kidney failure for almost 6 months
He was the co-founder and programs director at Clouds Media Group.
President John Pombe Magufuli and retired President Jakaya Kikwete led Tanzanians in mourning the sudden demise of Mr. Mutahaba.
Kikwete, who was also a close friend to the late Ruge, expressed his deepest condolences, saying the country had lost a creative mind who was still very useful to his people.
Celebrities across East Africa, took to social media to mourn Ruge describing him as an entertainment genius who sharped many careers in the music, media and film Industry.
The late Mutahaba was the force behind Tigo Fiesta one of the biggest entertainment concerts that happens yearly. He was also the founder of Tanzania House of Talent popularly known as THT.
Arguably there is no Tanzanian celebrity who has not passed in the hands of the late Ruge in one way of another.
