Jurgen Klopp trolls Everton before the Merseyside derby

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has spoken of the magnitude of the Merseyside derby for Everton.

The Toffees will be eager to put a dent in their city rival’s title bid when they host the Reds on Sunday.

The German manager is aware that Everton will be fired up when his side arrive at Goodison Park.

Prior to Liverpool’s trip to Goodison, Watford arrive at Anfield on Wednesday evening.

The Reds will be looking to regather momentum having drawn three of their last four league games.

However, tough fixtures are on the horizon with the Merseyside derby approaching and Klopp claims he is aware of the importance of the fixture for the Toffees.

The German manager believes that the Merseyside derby is like a World Cup final” for Everton.

Not only will Everton be looking to exact revenge for the defeat earlier this season at Anfield, but Marco Silva’s side will also be looking to halt Liverpool’s title charge.

“Everton, we all know for them it’s like a World Cup final.

It’s away after we beat them at Anfield in the 96th minute so how can we celebrate one win?

Klopp’s delight for defeating his side’s local rivals was on clear show during the last meeting between the two sides.

The 51-year-old rushed on to the pitch after Divock Origi came off the bench to break the deadlock deep into stoppage time.
