DCI release details of the notorious burglars terrorizing Kilimani residents

Four members of a notorious gang of burglars that has been terrorizing residents of Kilimani estate in Nairobi have been nabbed by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) .

The four; Alex Nderi alias Ade, Peter Kaari alias Pinches or Walker, Lawrence Alusala alias Nico and Veronica Kamau alias Veroh were arrested on Sunday, February 24, and arraigned the following day.

According to report by DCI, the four gangsters were traced after the detectives analysed a CCTV footage that had captured their operation in the area. A black Toyota Prado with a fake number plate was identified and a broker who had hired it to some suspects was traced and a trap was laid.

When one of the suspects was nabbed by the detectives, he led the officers to Kwihota in Ruiru Town where a firearm loaded with 14 rounds of ammunition was recovered. The officers also detained two vehicles while the firearm was taken for forensic examination.

According to the CCTV footage shared by DCI on Twitter, the suspects were seen leaving a building in a black Prado on Wednesday, February 13, at around 7 pm probably after accomplishing their mission.
