Nakuru-Naivasha Highway accident kills 4

Two car collisions- a Saloon car and passenger bus- caused the death of four people along the Nakuru-Naivasha Highway.

According to Rift Valley traffic enforcement officer Ziro Arome, four of five occupants of the Toyota Wish died on the spot while one sustained serious injuries and has since been transferred to Naivasha Hospital for treatment.

The 1am accident occurred as the driver of the private car — a Toyota Wish — was trying to overtake, causing a head-on collision with the on-coming bus.

The bus christened was heading to Nairobi from Butere while the saloon car was moving towards Naivasha from Nakuru.

The 64 passengers, who were travelling in the Climax bus, were left nursing minor injuries following the incident.
