There is nothing that hurts like losing a loved one especially your spouse , many will remain unmarried while others will opt to change their love life.

Nairobi-based preacher, Jacinta Nzilani is a living example after she revealed her journey of sexual transformation that saw her switch to lesbianism after the death of her husband of 25 years.

Nzilani said she decided to become a lesbian after being treated badly by her inlaws who wanted to take advantage of her husband’s death.

“I am a lesbian. I am widow and a woman who stayed with her husband for more than 25 years and then he died and I was treated badly by my in-laws and that is how I decided to live with other women as lesbians,” she said on Friday.

The evangelist added that the church community was not supportive during her trying moment as they pressured to re-marry even though she was not interested.

She said she later met up with other lesbians in the city and joined their church where she says she has worshiped happily-ever-after.

She now has a church near Odeon Cinema in CBD.

The preacher made the confession at the high court in Nairobi where Justice Chacha Mwita had been expected to make a ruling on a petition seeking decriminalisation of homosexuality in Kenya.

The ruling was postponed to May, with Justice Mwita saying he needed more time to prepare the judgement.

Tens of members from the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community and human rights activists had gathered outside the courts as they waited for a favorable ruling.

The penal code has from the colonial era criminalized homosexual acts which activists say should be declared unconstitutional.
