Mr Joseph Kori the man who has been in police custody on accusation of having colluded with his mistress Judy Wangui to murder his wife, Mary Wambui is reported to have been released from the Girigiri police station on Thursday.
Police sources at Gigiri Police Station, who sought anonymity because they are not authorised to issue press statements on the case, on Friday spilled to journalists that Mr Kori walked to freedom at 2 pm.
Sources reveal that Mr Kori was picked up by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and was not returned to custody.
Last time they were presented in court the prosecution went on to indicate that it will charge Judy with murder but there was no charges against Kori yet.
When his lawyers were making submission, Mr. Kori was overwhelmed with emotions and ended up crying at the court room.
The lawyer was by then explaining the plight of his children who are suffering since their father was put behind bars.
His lawyers said that since no charges have been raised against their client, they seek for the release of their client.
