ODM rebels thrown into 6 days of praying and fasting as the sentence awaits

The tangatanga mission under the Deputy President William Ruto brought forth so many tribulations. His new recruits from ODM landed themselves in a big mess just for saying his praise instead of Baba’s.

Embattled Malindi MP Aisha Jumwa and his Msambweni counterpart Suleiman Dori will now know their fate in ODM on March 1.

The party National Governing Council will meet on March 1 to discuss the NEC’s decision to expel the rebel MPs and six Homa Bay MCAs from the party.

“Agenda of the meeting will be consideration and decision of the National Executive Committee recommendations on disciplinary matters,” ODM Secretary General Edwin Sifuna said in a statement.

ODM wants Jumwa, Dori and the MCAs punished for gross misconduct.

Jumwa and Dori have been accused of supporting Deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid while the six MCAs are accused of allegedly causing disruption at the Homa Bay assembly.

ODM party leader Raila Odinga has not declared if he will contest in 2022 but his close ally Siaya Senator James Orengo has said he will.

“The agenda will also include the presentation of the party’s electoral system, address by selected leaders and presentation of the secretary general report,” the statement read in part.

The National Governing Council is composed of the ODM league, National Executive Council, Youth League, the National Election Board and county coordinating committee officials.

Others are governors, deputy governors, assembly minority and majority leaders and the parliamentary group.
