United States President Donald Trump is losing his base quickly.
Americans are known to be a democratic nation that does not accede to foul policies, a foundation that was established long ago by their founding fathers.
But what is Trump doing in American democracy? Damaging it.
His supporters had hope while voting for him but it seems he has diverted from the promises he made when he was campaigning, and that is seen from his latest move.
In a desperate attempt to finally get his border wall funded, Trump called for a national emergency on Friday.
But this move wasn’t deemed as positive by his supporters, including right-winger Ann Coulter who called the president an “idiot.”
Coulter appeared on a radio interview shortly after the President’s declaration where she bashed on the president for screwing up his top campaign promise.
The right-winger claimed that the only reason conservatives voted for Trump was to get the wall built.
In contrast with Trump, Coulter said, former President Ronald Reagan was “a competent man whom we trust to run the government” and “a decent person” who deserved the title of commander-in-chief.
“None of that was true with Trump!” she said angrily.
“Forget the fact that he’s digging his own grave,” she said. “The only national emergency is that our president is an idiot.”
Since Trump came into power, he has been so adamant in his bid to build a wall in the US-Mexico border.
That has even led to series of government shutdown witnessed since last year because the Congress had and has failed to approve the funds he require to accomplish the process.
