“Wapi Pesa?” Harambee Stars Still Waiting for Ksh50 Million Pledge By William Ruto!

Back in 2018, DP pledged Ksh 50 million to the team while they were still in the race to qualify for the tournament.

This came after the highly entertaining game against Ethiopia at the Kasarani Stadium, where Kenya defeated them 3-0.

Harambee Stars won the qualifier matches against Ghana and Ethiopia and were also aided by the disqualification of Sierra Leone.

Nevertheless, FKF (Football Kenya Federation) Boss Nick Mwendwa has stated that they have been making phone calls to the DP’s office but all in vain.

“We have been making calls to follow up on this payment but no payment has been made yet. We are still waiting,”

Moreover, Sports PS Kirimi Kaberia commented on the issue, saying that they were handling the matter.

“We are following up on the matter, no payment has been made yet but the whole budgeting of the AFCON league is being worked on,”

The DP’s office is yet to answer the high volume of messages regarding the matter.

Harambee Stars is expected to camp in France for three weeks to prepare for the matches.
